Arcadian Winds is available for hire for a variety of services.

Our concert performances can range from full recitals to one-hour in-school or lunchtime concerts to performances of single works, typically on new-music concerts or composers' forums. While our focus is contemporary music, we are quite at home in classical, romantic, and early twentieth-century repertoire. Our selection of nineteenth-century music (notoriously sparse for wind quintets) is enhanced by many fine arrangements written especially for the group by our clarinetist Mark Miller. Since the wind quintet repertoire becomes more encompassing in the twentieth century, we are able to present "themed" concerts from this period: all-American programs, music by women composers, all-European programs, music with a non-Western focus. We can present an overview of contemporary compositional styles, or a chronological survey of music for wind quintet. We can also vary the level of "formality" of a concert, anywhere from traditional to chatty.

All the members of Arcadian Winds are active and experienced teachers, and we see education as one of our primary missions. As a group we can present a wide variety of school concerts and workshops for general audiences, music students, and composers. We try to emphasize the energy and excitement of chamber music, demonstrate basic skills of ensemble playing, and introduce audiences of any age to current music as well as the classics. We are especially interested in working with young composers, and we can be available for reading and evaluation sessions with composers of any age group.
